POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. For a 101°F fever in your daughter, it's important to ensure that the medication and dosage are appropriate for her age and weight. Crocin (paracetamol) syrup is commonly used to reduce fever and relieve pain in children. However, the correct dosage depends on your child's weight and age.
If your daughter is between 1 to 5 years old, the typical dose is around 10-15 mg per kg of body weight, given every 4-6 hours, with no more than 5 doses in 24 hours.
It's crucial to:
1. Check the label on the Crocin syrup for the concentration (usually it's 120 mg/5 ml).
2. Consult with your pediatrician to confirm the correct dosage for your daughter.
For safety and accurate dosing, it's best to contact your doctor before administering any medication.
