Most of the toddlers are fussy and picky eaters and their main focus is on playing and exploring around and due to this reason, weight gain is also slow. Try not to force feed and make eating a fun time. Mix variety of foods and then feed so that maximum nutrition can be given even in smaller quantities. Include fat and protein rich foods like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, eggs, chicken, fish, legumes, ghee, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado and 600-700 ml milk everyday. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks including variety of fluids. Serve in a kiddie bowl or plate or cup with a straw from brands like Babyhug feeding range and give in different shapes and colors to make it interesting.
