yes you may use
but instead of such things ,I would suggest to do some things which are more affective like:
eat couple of bites less than usual
take low fat high fiber diet like green leafy vegetables, fruits more
drink plenty of fluids
avoid taking junk food items
walk , walk and walk
don't use vehicle for short distance
