my boy is 5.5 months old suffering from runny nose cough difficulty in sneezing as well no fever what to do?Can I use Vicksburg baby rub

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by tghe doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is therfe paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
