If your child is not getting fever or it is not affecting his daily routine, I will advise you not to give any unnecessary medication medication. This is because children are often allergic. You can give any anti-allergic medication for three days as prescribed by paediatrician.

Ensure your baby stays hydrated with frequent breastfeeding or formula. Use a saline nasal spray and gently suction the nose with a bulb syringe to clear mucus. Keep the baby’s environment clean, dust-free, and avoid exposure to cold air or strong perfumes. A warm steam bath can also help relieve nasal congestion. If the runny nose persists for more than 7–10 days, is accompanied by fever or breathing difficulty, consult a pediatrician for further evaluation.
