try to give roughly mashed soft food.

Use Jaggery or dates syrup to the food that you willing to use and even the lot of people use regular sugar also because it is considered normal proper salt and sugar and spices should be given to the child from the very beginning and if you do not want to give sugar you can give jaggery and dates p no issues at all
