Q.

My baby is one month old. Is it compulsory to stop breastfeeding if the baby has lactose intolerance and switch to formula milk for a week.

A. it is exclusive recommend to give the breast feeding till baby complete six months.. even baby is lactose intolerance then also baby should have mother milk.. consult the doctor and follow.. take care..

A. no, not at all.. please don't stop breast feeding.. its essential in every form and in any way.. but if you are giving any other supplements then please stop and consult to your doctor.. he will surely give you lactose free supplement for your baby. I too had same problem with my baby, he faced lactose intolerance for 2-3 months and I suggested my Dr, he simply advised me to continue with breast milk. and he gave LF100 i.e. lactose free supplement for less than 6 months old baby.. so it's my advise to specially don't stop breast milk and go to your pediatrician.. thank you
