Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. yesFever is the reaction of the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg per kg body weight/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues even thereafter you should consult your doctor for proper treatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body ache to a good extent. but in fcase of infection in which the fever isl associated with other problems also it is recommended to get the clinical assessment done and get a proper treatment done by a doctor.

Sonam PrasadMom of 2 children4 years agoA. hi dear The body needs fluids to help fight infection, so it is important to keep your toddler hydrated. Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast are the foods that make up the BRAT diet. These foods are easy to digest and have a better likelihood of staying down than many other foods when a child is sick.
