Q.

My baby is having viral fever with 100.9 f temperature,, doctor prescribed dolo 120 for every 6 hours for 3 days, but baby temperature is reduced to 98.8 f should I continue the dosage for next 2 days r should I stop for only one day dosage

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hourshi again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the wghole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
