my baby is having cough which medicine should be given

You can try giving Maxtra syrup for cough but since baby is very small,I would suggest to visit paediatrician and give medicine after properly checking up the baby.
Apply VCS baby rub on chest and feet of the baby. Give indirect steam. Put saline solution like nasoclear in both the nostrils if they are blocked.
