my baby is having 101 fever..which medicine should i give..

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take t ttemperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving

you can give it after consulting with your pediatrician or read instructions on packet and give the Medicine as per that.
keep your child well hydrated
give 2 tbsp water at half an hour to drink.
rub onion slices on your child chest and back.
