A. If your baby has had diarrhea for three days followed by normal stools but is still having 3 to 4 bowel movements per day, it's important to monitor a few key factors: 1. Signs of Dehydration: Check for signs like decreased urine output, dry mouth, crying without tears, or lethargy. If you notice any of these, seek medical attention immediately. 2. Consistency of Stools: If the stools are now normal in consistency and appearance, this is a positive sign. However, if they become watery again or you notice blood or mucus, you should contact a doctor. 3. Overall Well-being: Observe how your baby is acting. If they are feeding well, alert, and playful, this is generally a good sign. If they seem unusually fussy, irritable, or lethargic, it could indicate a problem. 4. Feeding: Ensure your baby is staying hydrated and is feeding adequately. If your baby is still breastfed or bottle-fed, continue to offer fluids frequently. When to See a Doctor: If diarrhea persists for more than a few days. If there are any concerning symptoms like high fever, vomiting, or signs of dehydration. If your baby is not eating or drinking well. Given that your baby had diarrhea followed by normal stools but continues to have frequent bowel movements, it’s best to consult your pediatrician for a thorough evaluation to rule out any underlying issues and ensure your baby's health.
