Mom of a 9 m old girl

Q. My baby is a premature baby... Born at 34 Weeks.. She was at 2.200 kgs when she born and decreased upto 1.924 kgs.. Now she is 2.650 kg... Its already 50 days... Pls give me some tips to increase weight of my baby....

A. Have lot of skin to skin sessions with your baby. This is called kangaroo therapy. Both father and mother can do it. This warmth will greatly help to improve baby's weight. Also while breastfeeding, you can feed longer from one side, so that the baby will get the hind milk which comes later and has higher fat content than the foremilk which comes first.
