PranatiGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Hiii constipation in babies are very common. You can give boiled sweet potatoes , vegetables soup ( peas, carrot, cauli flower, ) raw papaya boiled, fruits ( apple, pear, plums ) . Heard a lot about Dexolac formula milk it has FOS which is a good fibre which will help in digestion and prevents from constipation and diarrhea. You can give a try . As for your baby's age you will need stage 2 .
UmmiMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. My baby is 1 year 5 months old and is highly constipated. Stool is very hard and at times he tries so hard but is unable to pass motion and after that even 2 days go by without passing motion. He even has slight blood in the stool. What medicine can I give and please tell me the dosage also.
Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies aftnd also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are retquired but it should be given only in medical supervision .
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. If your baby seems constipated, consider simple changes to your infant's diet: Water or fruit juice. Offer your baby a small amount of water or a daily serving of 100% apple, prune or pear juice in addition to usual feedings.
