My baby is 6 months old , and has cough from 3-4 days , for this I am giving him kofarest syrup but still not getting relief, can I give him honey?

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a  viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and egxpectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fdever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

as your child is very small avoid giving any kind of self medication and definitely you can give it if the it has been given by the doctor. 
do not give honey at all till the age of 1 year as it can be very dangerous for the child below 1 year. 
if required you can use a humidifier if it is a dry cough and also you can give steam inhalation for your child
