Q.
my baby is 40 days old he has blocked nose and cough for past 4 days my doctor suggest delcon ,coscoril and nasoclear drops...but still now he has cough and blocked nose...what can I do to cure my baby

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of ceough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continue the reegular diet which is being given to the child

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supphjiortive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
