Q.

My baby is 4 months old and she is addicted to nipple shield and she not taking feed without nipple shield how to stop nipple shield please give me a best advice sir

A. Very gradually, start to remove it earlier and earlier in the feeding until you don't need it at all. Sometimes it works to offer the first breast with the shield and the second one without it, if your baby takes both breasts in one feeding.Have patience. Try attaching your baby without the shield as often as you can. If it doesn't work, don't persist until your baby is upset. Simply use the nipple shield again and try again later.

Due to flat nipple my baby was not able to directly latch from my breast, since day 4 i am using nipple shield and now he is habitual to it, I tried to stop using nipple shield still he don’t take feeds directly from breast. now my concern is how much time (like 30 mins or more ) does it take to one feed with nipple shield ?
