Q.

My baby is 22 month old.She is having pinworm infection. Pinworm comes out every night. I have given 2 doses of albendazole 200 mg but no improvement.Still I have noticed pinworm every night. Should I repeat the dose or change the medicine??? Please suggest

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and thekln repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every six months at least till 5 year of ageb but it is advisable to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor
