Q.

My baby is 15 month old. He sucks his thumb while sleeping. How can I stop it?

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling ouf insecurity or some stress . Just try to make thue child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. Hi mom Take out the thumb when the baby is in deep sleep...And during the day u need to repeat it till it fits in the mind of the baby that thumb sucking is not good ..Just distract whenever tries to suck thumb.
