My baby is 14 months old What kind of pillow to use? And whether he even needs a pillow?

Actually there is no need to get a pillow for the child they can comfortably sleep without a pillow on the back or side or even on their tummy which is the best position to sleep we introduce pillows to the child otherwise they’re very comfortable sleeping without a pillow so if you want to do it otherwise there is no need
