Q.

my baby is 1 mnth old now.. he is having difficulty in passing motion.. very hard stool and he strains a lot during potty.. what is the solution?

A. Thanku doctor.. but he is passing stool every day.. only the Problem is the motion is hard , not loose stool.. I don't have enough breast milk .. so we r giving formula feed also in between.. is it because of the formula ? and which formula is good ? nxt mnth I am going back to work outside India.. now I cannot take my baby with me. so we have to continue the formula milk.

A. in fact all of this is considered normal. It is absolutely normal for the baby to not pass motion even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding so no need to worry if it is above one week then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation as not recommended.

A. Hi mommy It will correct soon Maintain hydration Give adequate feeding Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs regularly it also help baby to make muscle stronger and to reduce gas and constipation
