Keep feeding breast milk. Make sure that the baby empties one breast first before moving on to the next breast as the milk that comes towards the end, which is hind milk, is rich in fat and helps in healthy weight gain. Give cheesy potatoes and sweet potatoes as they help in weight gain. Give cheese and peanut butter. Give bananas, avocados, pears, papaya and mangoes as they help in increasing weight. Give one boiled egg yolk per day. Give pulses like moong Dal and masoor Dal. Give plain home made curd made from whole fat milk. Give fruit smoothies and add dry fruits powder to them.
