Q.

My baby having higher level of Bilirubin after birth..it was 19.5...so doctor suggest him to put under Blue light for 24 hours...but when he started to stay on that light area place he stated to having potty instantly when I breast feeding him....Now his bilirubin level us normal...but that potty problem is same as ago...is that any problem..should I consult with doctor...plz suggest

A. that's fine and normal it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
