Q.

My baby has some white patches in his forehead and head,slowly these patches are spreading and getting bigger.But doctor is not responding to this situation.According to him,these are kind of birthmarks.But I think they are not birthmarks,can anyone help me with this problem ?

A. many times white spots can occur in children but does not require any treatment except moisturizing lotion application or simple coconut oil application like BabyHug coconut oil. they will persist for few weeks and then will go away if the problem continues beyond two weeks and is increasing in size and intensity then you have to meet the doctor for evaluatixon. some times it can be due to nutritional deficiency, skin sensitivity, allergy, fungal infection (sometimes self limiting) also for which your doctor will prescribe specific cream.
