my baby coughing continuously giving her 3 times is it mucolite drops is it ok or i gave her something else

A. baby is only 4 months of age if baby is having severe cough better to consult the doctor cold and cough most of the times because of viral infection sometimes even allergies please give steam inhalation frequently to liquefied the secretions and saline nasal drops in nose of the baby
