My baby boy is now 2.4 yrs & he doesn't speak well. He speaks very few words. is it any problem in speaking well. we are from odisha & now staying in Chhatishgarh. is there any problem?

he understands my words but he is not trying to say . actually I am a working woman & I am Odia but caretaker of my baby is Chhatishgarhi. she is speaking with him in chhatishgarh language and I am speaking with him in Odia. is it the reason for this

does he comprehend what you speak?

does he communicate well with eye contact.

if not better to consult paediatrician, speech therapist.

encourage speaking, do not overcorrect his words, tell stories, regular conversations, asking leading questions, songs with hand gestures will help..
