my baby boy is 6months 10days old...from three days iam giving him mumscare rice with only half spoon...mixed with water as doctor said...today he had loose poop with mucuse....what should I do...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption.
Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like enterogermina twice a day for 3 days.
For any specific treatment consult your doctor.
can give khichdi ,mashed potato, ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of age,
maintain proper hydration by giving plonty of fluids.ors can also be given.
