Medicines & Remedies: Saline Nasal Drops (Nasivion Saline, Otrivin Baby Saline) – Use 2-3 drops in each nostril before feeding or sleeping to relieve nose blockage. Steam Inhalation – Hold your baby in a steamy bathroom (do not directly expose to hot steam) to help clear congestion. Cough Syrup – For such a small baby, avoid over-the-counter cough syrups. If needed, you can use T-Minic drops (as per doctor's dosage recommendation). Paracetamol Drops (like Calpol 125) – If the baby has fever, give as per weight-based dosage after consulting a doctor. Warm Mustard Oil Massage – Warm mustard oil with garlic and apply on baby’s chest, back, and feet before sleep. Keep Baby Hydrated – Frequent breastfeeding or formula feeding helps in faster recovery.
If symptoms persist beyond 5-7 days, the baby has high fever, breathing difficulty, or refuses feeds, consult a pediatrician immediately.
