Use a humidifier in the room to keep the air moist, and make sure the baby is well-hydrated with frequent feeds. You can also try gentle steam therapy by sitting in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes with your baby. Use a nasal aspirator to clear mucus after applying saline drops. Keep your baby's head slightly elevated while sleeping to ease breathing. If congestion persists for more than a week, or if there are signs of difficulty breathing, fever, or poor feeding, consult a pediatrician.
