My 9 month old daughter is passing small and slightly hard stools 3-4 times a day. Is there any remedy to soften it.  #AskTheExpert

passing hard stool is quite common in babys less than one year  of age 
No need to worry for this 
Give tummy times  frequently  in a day time 
Do massage everyday and specially tummy massage more. 
  breast Feed ur baby as per demand  
It will help 
Burp properly at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp 
Keep hydration well
Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day 
If baby is feeling discomfort and crying inconsolably  then 
Need to do rectal stimulation, apply some drops of oil over rectal area 
It will help 
If it  doesn't help   then 
Need rectal glycerine  enema 
Or some laxative 
for which u need to visit once with pediatrician.

hello try to give fibre rich food in the diet and also fruits especially banana and papaya which can help and also make sure to give water after every solids and any concern then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you
