My 8 months old baby has recurring fever since morning. 5:00 am -101 Gave him calpol -1ml 7:00 am -99:0 10:00 am-96 12:00pm-100.6 Gave him calpol-2ml 2:00pm -99.6 6:00pm-101 Gave him calpol 2ml 7:30pm -99.9 11:30pm-101

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take tempeerature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving
