Q.
My 6m old daughter fell from bed, developed a soft swell after 4 days on right side of head, behind ear. There’s no pain while touching the swelling. A local doctor said nothing to worry the swelling doc will settle on its own. Has this happened with anyone else? Please suggest what to do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is important to keep the child for observation for at least 48 hours and if the child develops danger signs like
severe headache or
excessive crying or
excessive vomiting or
abnormal movements or
lethargy or
seizures then kindly meet your doctor immediately for examination.

if none of above danger signs are present then you can follow wait and watch policy
for pain you cazn give paracetamol which will help in also decreasing swelling on the head.
also apply ice locally.

yes it happens
try cool pack there
it will help to reduce the swelling
keep that area clean but don't push,or rub this part
