Q.

My 6 months old daughter experiencing fever from last two days. I am giving ibugesic plus every 6 hours but fever reoccur only in 5 hours. Can anyone suggest can I give mefanamic 100 mg and how much to her.

A. many times during viral infection paracetamol may not act properly and many times high dosage needs to be given but you have to take help of body sponge and after 2-3 days the fever should improve and decrease in intensity

A. Doctor is saying it's viral but I don't understand why it is repeated after 4-5 hours atleast 6 hours should the effect of medicine in the body. Is it possible that in viral fever repeats after 4 hours inspite giving the medicine.

A. it is advisable to meet your doctor and do not give any type of medicine without medical consultation because all have got side effects and it is also important to find the cause of fever
