Q.

My 6 month old baby has been pooping for 3 times since 4 days and the motion is watery! Is it normal?

A. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic likeloi econorm sachet for 3 days for two times a day. For any specific treatment consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration . can give khichdi ,mashed potato, ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of age, maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids.ors can also be given. infection is mainly due to poor hygiene
