Q.

my 5.5 month baby having cold and cough doctor gave derivent-ls 0.5 ml 3 times. m giving him medicine since 3 days but still no improvement. please suggest any home remedy.

A. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment conffsists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
