My 4months old baby has cold and cough, in night time I don't how to handle the room temperature. If I let the AC on for an hour ,he started to cough, so I switch off the AC. But after that , he started to sweating. Both will make his condition worse . How to handle this situation.

Keep the temperature around 24 or 25° do not use fan alongside and also make sure that the AC wings are not throwing air directly on the shelf that’s what you need to do so this temperature is going to be very much comfortable for the child without fan

there is no problem in using air conditioner for children as well as newborns but the air current should be slightly away .
you can keep the tempefrature at around 28 degree celsius to 30 degree celsius.
one way to know whether the child is feeling cold or not would be by touching the palms soles and ears of the child and if they are warm the child is warm and comfortable and if they are cold the child is feeling cold.
