my 30 days old baby boy suffering from fever since last 29 August 5pm his temparature was 101f in first day and second day it was normal but after 5pm the fever started again and after giving calpol it was normal but today third day at 9pm it started again we have consulted with pediatric at first day he said if fever comes give calpol only but now his temparature showin 100f and he is doing urine as usual but his poo is like some time and sometime as usual and all this temparature taken from his underarm by digital thermometer .hoping for a expert suggestion for next move

Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .other medicine like mefenamic acid ibuprofen can also be given .gh
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. 
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. 
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydrationv .
