Q. #AskDOCTORS my 3 months old son is coughing. Any home remedy?

A. Make a pouch of garlic and ajwain and keep it under the pillow of baby. to make the pouch take 2 gloves of garlic and ajwain and dry roast it. it helped me when my 3 months baby had cold and cough.

A. #. a aavoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections. .  put steamer in room or To give steam to babies, best way is to make your bathroom steamy by running the hot water tap. keep the baby away from source of steam.

A. hello, please give indirect steam to the baby. You should also masaage your baby's chest, back and feet with warm mustard oil. it will help kn clearing the phlegm. for medication, please cpnsult your doctor
