My 2 month baby having 99 fever in armpit is ít considered a fever

When the temperature is 99°F is fever and as it rises that means the temperature is rising so right now if it is 99°F you should go ahead with giving medicine to the child and if the temperature rises or says the same you can repeat the medicine again after six hours
