Q.

My 2.5month daughter is on breastfeed and once in a day on formula. She hasn’t pooped in past 4 days but passes gas and her stomach is also soft to touch. Should i give her some medication for passing the stool?

A. no need to give any medications for this typically breastfed babies will not poop as often because their bodies absorb most of the breast milk. going even a week without having a bowl movement is ok.

A. Try bicycle exercise for your baby . it might help to release gas or poop

A. hello breastfed babies will have less waste and can go without passing motion even for a week and sometimes infant formula milk can also cause constipation and adding few drops of prune juice to bm can help or if baby does not pass motion even for a week then check with your doctor
