Q.

my 2.25 years old daughter speaks few words n babbles a lot. action is more prominent in her routine. cognition is well developed . pls suggest what to do fr language development as her speech milestone is delayed.

A. at the age of 2 years you have to take care of the following things and look for the following things and if it is absent medical examination is required DEVELOPMENT by the age of 2 years the child should be able to speak few words with meaning in the sentence and should be able to understand all the commands and orders given by the parents and if you feel that they are not present in your child it is important to meet your pediatrician to assess the growth milestones of the child and whether there is any need of therapy or not

A. Hi dear good afternoon this is how it starts By 9months to 1yeat they just say mama, papa. By 15 months will understand whatever we say and will observe more. By 18 months they speak few meaningful words amma appa papa mamma thattha.. After two years they make combinations of words like amma give, amma take, appa go, mama come.. Later they make sentences. It will take time for them to speak complete full sentences. Just keep talking more to your kid. If it's not happening contact speech therapist
