my 14 day baby has developed a fungal infection in his buttocks. it's very painful and irritating. how can we treat this?

A. Change dirty diapers as soon as possible. Be gentle when cleaning the diaper area. Apply a zinc oxide diaper cream. Call a doctor or board-certified dermatologist if your baby develops signs of a skin infection.
