my 1.5 yrs baby has fever from yesterday, doctor has prscribed mefkind P sus but it is unavailable, can I give him Calpol 250...he has fever of 101-102 degree.... plz help π

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. sir, doctor has recommended Mefenamic acid (100mg) stay, can I give my child it 2-3 times a day if fever continues to be above 101-102 ?plz reply, thanks in advance

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. please follow your doctors guidelines if not ask for doctor other alternative Fever is the response of the body against foreign infection like virus bacteria etc no need to use any medicines unless the temperature is more than hundred degrees
