Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. can be because of allergic reaction in the baby yh cCold and cough in small babies because of viral infections due to less immunity in the baby treat them sympatically with steam inhalation and saline drops in the nose of the baby it will subside in one week time

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done andtr according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to redfuce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
