meri 1 year 2 month old beti thumb sucking krti hai..kya ye aadat khud chale jayegi?..kuki ek baar mene uske thumb pr patti bandh li thi to use fever Chad gya tha..me kya kru me bahut tension me hu

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some acftivities also spend good time with the chilxd .
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution avavilable which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .
