Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the cdhild and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.

Oh sometimes these things can happen due to certain reflexes into the body but if it is happening every time or it is happening most of the time is rather I would say that then you should just cause check with your doctor to have better clarity on the situation
