last one month suffering from cough I gave him maxtra cetrizine 5ml

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only affter a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetausmol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

If the coughing is actually too intense for the child and for such a long time that I would recommend you to ones get a check with an ENT doctor to figure out the issue and a lot of times these things could be possibly due to some kind of an allergy as well so get that checked toWrite Your Answer Here
