it is important to prevent mosquito bite by using other mosquito nets and the second option would be mosquito repellent vaporizer. there are also available cloth roll on. you can apply mosquito repellent cream on the skin if it is not causing dany allergy.
make the child wear full clothes to decrease the chances of bite and if a bite occurs you can apply  coconut oil to decrease the sensation.
also can use atarax anti itch lotion/ ritch lotion to decrease itching.
