Home made porridges are better than commercial preparations. You can make a variety: sooji kheer, rice kheer, thick soups made from a mixture of pulses, cereals and seasonal vegetables, rice-daal khichdi etc

completion of six months is right time for introducing food and water to your child
but please avoid formula feed
please give easily digestible food like warm dal water moong water or rice starch with small quantity of spices and ghee
you can give properly cooked rice and khichdi
