Is sleeping in cradle /cloth cradle bad?

Q. My toddler (5yr old) likes to sleep in her cloth cradle. But my in - laws say sleeping in cradle will affect her growth, but the cradle cloth i m using is more than her current height. My mom says let her sleep where she wants to. And tells me not to force her to sleeping in a cot. I personally dont want to take away her childhood wish of sleeping in cradle. So I have both cradle and cot at home, and she alternates between both for sleeping as per her mood swings. I wish any doctor could solve my dilemma. Is it true that cradle affects her growth?
